Cairo-born Armen Agop is one of the artists and sculptors who’ve made the sculpture studios of Pietrasanta the home of their artistic creation. His is an art of purity and perfection, of the ardent shining on the primordial darkness; his black pieces emerge toward the light – strangely organic in spirit, a graceful dance with gravity.
He exhibits his timeless abstractions – shiny, perfect, mysterious – all made of black granite, at the Flora Bigai Gallery in Pietrasanta’s Piazza del Duomo, until the 12th of July 2012. The show is titled “Double Identity.”
