Flora Borsi travels back in time … with a digital phone camera!

“Click!” …CLICK!” Flora Borsi has produced (and published online) a convincing body of photographic work documenting her own extratemporal travel with a digital phone camera.

Funny, poignant, … scary. There’s Elvis, mobbed; Marilyn, stalked, Andy seduced … it’s history reworked, “shared memories” highjacked – our collective iconography of the past nonchalantly photo-bombed and uploaded.

“Our vanity, our passions, our spirit of imitation, our abstract intelligence, our habits have long been at work, and it is the task of art to undo this work of theirs, making us travel back in the direction from which we have come to the depths where what has really existed lies unknown within us.”
― Marcel Proust, Time Regained
