The most famous headbutt in the history of world soccer – the one that French soccer player Zidane treated Italian player Materazzi during the 2006 Berlin Final – will be exhibited in the Piazza del Duomo in Pietrasanta, as part of the upcoming “Italia-Francia” exhibition.
The statue – a 5-meter-tall ode to defeat, in bronze – will travel from Paris to Pietrasanta. The sculpture, titled “Coup de Tête is by the Algerian artist Adel Abdessemed.
Materazzi will be present for the inauguration, which is scheduled for Saturday, the 20th of July, 2013 at 7pm.
