The Il Tirreno daily reports that Adel Abdessemed’s sculpture, which is the centerpiece of this summer’s “Italia-Francia” exhibition in Pietrasanta, was the target of not-so-positive-reviews, by unknown parties in the night.
Cardboard signs appeared around the 5-meter-tall sculpture imploring: “Rifondetela” – re-melt it down.
The police took down the signs in the morning and are investigating … they are going through the cctv footage from the security cameras trained on the statue – although no “actual harm” was inflicted on the bronze sculpture, so the probabilities of criminal prosecution appear low.
