Fake Louvre tickets – latest Chinese knockoff

Thousands of tickets to the Louvre have been discovered to be fakes “Made in China.” According to Museum officials – who have recently stopped talking to the media because of the ongoing Police investigation – said that over the last summer thousands of fake tickets – some very convincing fakes – were discovered, primarily in the hands of Chinese tour groups.

Meanwhile Police in Belgium have intercepted a package from Beijing containing 4000 counterfeit Louvre tickets – the value of which is said to be approx $80,000. The Museum management has not been able to estimate the total damage.
