The plague in Lucca, the masterpiece by Lorenzo Viani of 1913/15, is on display in Viareggio’s Galleria di Arte Moderna and Contemporanea for just a few more weeks. The work was last shown to the public 25 years ago.
The large painting which comes from a private collection, will be exhibited alongside two contemporary works by the artist: the Holy Face (1913-1915) and the Blessing of the Dead Sea (1914).
