Even great artists need to eat, and so need to get their shopping done. Michelangelo, better known as Master Painter and Sculptor, and whose name has become synonymous with the Renaissance, was no exception. His handwritten grocery list features quick sketches of the main ingredients, because presumably the assistant he was sending to the Supermercato … market was illiterate, suggests the Oregonian‘s Steve Duin in a review of a Seattle Art Museum show.
