“Donna Passione” a day of Tango at the Principe di Piemonte, in Viareggio, this Saturday, the 8th of March


Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the Argentinian Embassy presents “Donna Passione” a day-long celebration of the Tango, this Saturday, the 8th in Viareggio.

The party starts at 3pm with an introductory “how-to” lesson open to everyone, led by the Argentinian master Jorge Ramirez. At 5pm three books will be presented to the public, they are: the “Passione di Tango” by Alfredo Helman, “Facciamo il Tango” by Angela Manetti, and “Lola Suarez” by Simona Bertocchi. At 6pm Tango and Poetry will feature readings of “Tango texts” by Anna Luisa Scano, Gabriella Ghilarducci, Lucia Carrieri, Gabriella Albani, Andrea carli and Alfredo Helman.

Donna-Passione-Tango-ViareggioAt 7:30pm, there’s a concert “Tango a 4 Manos” featuring the piano duo of Laura Helman and Barbara Salani, (pictured at right.) They’ll play Tangos by Piazzolla, Pugliese, Mores, Piana…

At 9:30pm: festivities get into full swing with a Grande Milonga… a Tango presentation featuring the Beba Pugliese Orchestra.

All of the events from 3pm to 9pm are FREE and open to the public, ticket for the Grande Milonga is 15 euros.
