A new monument to Giordano Bruno is to be unveiled this Thursday in Carrara, courtesy of the Associazione Culturale “Il Pensiero”

Giordano-Bruno-Carrara-SculturaA new bust of the controversial Italian philosopher Giordano Bruno is to be unveiled this Thursday, the 8th of May, in Carrara.

Present at the ceremony will be Angelo Zubbani, the Mayor of Carrara, the President of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio Alberto Pincione and a bevy of notables from Italian Freemasonry, among which: the “gotha” of Italian Masonry Stefano Bisi, the “Gran maestro del Grande Oriente d’Italia”, Gustavo Raffi, the “Gran Maestro Emerito del Grande Oriente d’Italia”, Massimo Bianchi, the “Gran Maestro Onorario del Grande Oriente d’Italia”, Francesco Borgognoni, the President of the Collegio Toscano dei Maestri Venerabili del Grande Oriente d’Italia.

The monument will be located in Piazza Gramsci – aka Piazza d’Armi, in Carrara’s city center. The presentation of the work by Roberto Fantoni, from the “Il Pensiero” Cultural Association, will kick off at 10am in the Sala di Rappresentanza of the Comune di Carrara, and then continue at the Piazza d’Armi.
