The exhibition “In prima fila i coccodrilli, quindi l’asino … e le Dee” (In the front row, the crocodiles , then the donkey… and the Goddesses) showcases 15 works in Travertine marble by Girolamo Ciulla, Sicilian-born sculptor. Ten large-format drawings – some of which were exhibited by the artist in Pietrasanta last year – round out Ciulla’s teatricum animalicum of real and dreamed animals, which will be on view at the Antonia Jannone Gallery, in Milan.
Girolamo Ciulla was born in Caltanissetta, Sicily; he has lived and worked in Pietrasanta since 1988. He participated in the Biennale d’Arte in Venice, and recently exhibited in Paris, his monumental sculptures are on permanent display in Seoul, South Korea.
