“Angeli” is the title of Igor Mitoraj’s current exhibition at the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa – in a previous post we erroneously printed a photo of his “Eros bendato e sgretolato” – we have since found out is not in the exhibition.
The exhibition – in honor of the 950th anniversary of the Cathedral of Pisa’s founding – features over 60 works, bronze sculptures, plaster models – and paintings. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to show you some of these paintings in a web exclusive of sorts!
The Polish artist, famous for his bold mythic figures, inspired by the sculpture of Classical antiquity has a studio in Pietrasanta.

“That Mighty Sculptor, Time” ____________ Giovanni Ricci-Novara’s photography exhibition in Lucca lingers in the places where Time seems not to be waited for, places where even the wind, extenuated, stops its journey.
