“The European Dream” is Alessandro Penso’s photographic project on immigration in Italy, and Europe. The exhibition was “installed” in a “Tir” – a a cargo truck, and it travelled from Bari, in southern Italy, to Bruxelles.
“The European Dream” is a meditation on the delicate theme of immigration and the immigrant’s dangerous journey. It arrived in Bruxelles, the seat of the European parlament, on July 4th.
The exhibition sought to inform and educate a European public to the complicated stories of immigrants. It featured photographs, and video interviews with a group of young migrants trapped in Greece, because of European Immigration Laws.
