“The Medici, Makers of Modern Art” (Andrew Graham-Dixon, 2008, BBC, Full Documentary)

We repost “The Medici, Makers of Modern Art,” Andrew Graham-Dixon’s compelling exposé of the Medici family and its interests in banking and art, which led, according do Graham-Dixon, to the creation of the “biggest, baddest currency of all, the currency of art.”

Watch it soon, because – as you can read in the youtube poster’s comments, under the film (on the youtube page) – it appears that someone aggressively enforces claims to own the rights of publicly-funded BBC programming, and so this video won’t be up long.

Should you find that the video above has been taken down, despair not, dear reader, you can always see the documentary in the “chopped-up” 4-part youtube version, linked here.
